X-Plane Airport Calculator:
The Airport Calculator extracts data out of the X-Plane airport and navigation datasets.
When you specify an airport and a runway the calculator extracts:
Runway data
length, width, true heading, and magnetic heading (if a VOR is nearby)
NavAid data for localizers
NDBs and VORs that are within a user-specified radius
Approach & Departure data
Fixes aligned with the runway that are within a user-specified range from the runway thresholds. Approach data includes altitude data calculated based upon a user-specified glide-slope
Glide-slope table
Altitude vs. distance from runway, calculated based upon a user-specified glide-slope
X-Plane Waypoint Calculator:
The Waypoint Calculator is a tool for building flight plans for X-Plane's FMS.
With it you can enter a set of waypoints (fixes, NDBs, VORs) and airways and the calculator will plot the plan.
Any fixes, NDBs, VORs, or airways that are in the standard X-Plane dataset may be used
Furthermore, STAR and IAP (and soon, SID) generation is available for certain airports (click here for a list of available airports)
